Metal cheese slicer

I love cheese so I finally upgraded from a cheese plane to a cheese slicer. I bought this metal one in the hopes that I can run it through the dishwasher, which I wouldn't do with anything made of wood. The slicer has grippy feet so it doesn't slide around when using it. It also came with extra cutting strings which will come in handy. I find I can't get cheese quite as thin as with my cheese plane, but it's easy to vary the thickness of the slices of cheese.

I Love This Cheese Slicer!

This is the best slicer that I've ever had, and the fact that it is stainless steel and easy to clean and had several extra cutting wires (which I haven't needed yet) was a real plus. It cuts through a 2# brick of cheese with no problem.

TG for wire cheese cutters

Great product. I had many cheese platters to make for a gala and this really got me through. I have no experience with using any other cheese cutter, but i refrained from giving it a full 5 stars because as the wire handle comes down to cut the cheese, one can easily veer off a straight cut because the handle attachement feels a bit loose. Not really a provlem once you get in the swing of things.
