These are silicone molds. Use your imagination, and you can have a lot of fun with these! For Easter I used the molds to make Homemade Marshmallows!!! (I uploaded some pics) I bought some Popsicles sticks and am about to serve up my first round of Popsicles. So, so cute!! I have not experienced the bad taste, and I am very sensitive to flavors. (If it did, I would not serve it to my kids.) Just use common sense and wash it before you use it. This is well worth the buy!

Purchased this item as a gift for a friend who has a family room bar decorated in a Polynesian theme. I thought this would be a nice addition to his bar. It shipped to me first so I had a look at it. Good quality item and packaged nicely. He really liked the theme ice trays. Probably should have bought more as ice cubes get used up pretty fast.

I don't use them for ice. I use them for chocolate. :-) They are great chocolate molds. Just melt, pour, and cool. The flexible silicone lets the chocolate pop out without breaking. For more fun, drizzle in a little white chocolate before pouring in the dark chocolate. This gives them a marbled look. Solid chocolate can be too thick and hard to bite , so I usually mix in rice crispies. Since the face is downward, the liquid chocolate sinks below the rice crispies and gives them a smooth face.

Not great for ice cubes, they melt too fast. Jello worked great. I had some leftover mortar and made some statues. Some are going in the garden with their dad, some will be fridge magnets.

I want a head like the heads you see on Easter Island. I want a big strong forehead. I want to stand up tall. I want to stare at the seaside and do nothing... at all! These are great. And they're a decent size. Not huge, but a lot of novelty ice trays from Fred and other companies have pieces that melt too fast. These are just right.

I was hesitant to get these at first because of price and I thought it would be hard to get the ice out. I broke down and bought them and fell in love. These guys are easy to get out and add whimsy to any drink. My daughter jokes about having yeti breath after she drinks anything with these guys in it. I occasionally lose a leg or arm when getting them out because I overfill and get impatient! Still a great addition to any freezer!

I love the idea of the Easter Island statues guarding my drink in whatever flavor I choose to make them. Quality contruction but you will want to make sure you have it on a flat surface to transport it to the freezer otherwise the extra water weight will make it difficult to do.

These ice cubes are miniature replicas of the Moai statues found in Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Chile. The Moai are often confused with Tiki statues, but they are definitely not the same. I bought the ice cube tray as a gift for someone who had traveled to Easter Island to see the statues in person. She really appreciated the gift and thought it was a tasteful replica, which not all are. Additionally, the product is made with high quality material and the ice cubes it makes are true to form. Very clever and unique gift.
