The locks worked great for two weeks backpacking through Europe. In addition to using them on my big backpack, I also used one on my daypack while exploring cities for some added peace of mind from pickpockets. They feel sturdy and as strong as a lock this size can and the dials turn easily with a solid snap each number. On my flight back home at the end of the trip, I noticed that my checked bag had been searched, but the lock was fully intact. I only noticed because it was locked differently than I had it.

It's a lock, what can I say about it? It does exactly what it says on the tin. However there are couple of reasons to purchase these- 1) four numbers instead of three means that if you leave your luggage in your hotel room, then any dishonest hotel cleaning staff have more numbers to go through, and as such won't bother trying to get your case, because they will likely get caught before guessing the combination. 2) These are made of metal. Some cheap locks are made of plastic and don't seem very secure. These do just the job to deter opportunistic thieves from getting your luggage when traveling.
